Future Plans and Enquiries
Sept 2019: Lina and I are delighted to announce that 5 Puppies are expected between Ronja (Starlapps Suossa) and the glorious Mihkku (Shacal Mihkku of T.) We are absolutely delighted as Mihkku is such a sweet, calm and lovely dog with gorgeous parentage. The COI of this pairing is 0.36% over 7 generations, exceptionally low for the breed, and this minimises the likelihood of inherited recessive disease. We would like to thank Liz from TabanyaRuu and Mihkku's owners Karissa and Mark for really doing absolutely everything they could to facilitate a mating, (including even changing plans on Mark's birthday).
If you would like to know more please drop me a line telling me about yourself and why you are interested in the breed. We can discuss any questions on the telephone and then we decide together if you would like to come and visit to meet the dogs.
My heart and soul goes into my dogs at home and the researching and planning of health, temperament and suitable pairings. It is an on-going process and commitment to the breed I love and not one I will compromise when finding homes for puppies on the rare occasions that I have a litter.
So, I will not sell a pup to anyone who has not been to my home and met me and my dogs in person, probably several times. Both parties must feel 100% happy with the arrangement and want to keep in reasonable contact throughout the adult dogs' lives. This is crucial - it allows me as a responsible breeder to monitor the progress of the progeny and stay alert to any health or conformation issues which may impact close relatives or the breed as a whole. It works both ways: it also allows owners newer to the breed or dog ownership to bend my ear for advice! This can be as formal or informal as you would like - some owners send monthly photos and others meet occasionally for a walk somewhere mutually convenient. Through this wonderful breed lifelong friendships have formed and evolved - as some of my Muohta litter owners have discovered!
The pups are raised in my home and carefully introduced to a variety of life experiences before they leave. I do not insist that you show your dogs, but I recommend that you enrol in a well-researched puppy training programme locally and continue that training progressively for the lifetime of the dog.
